Area 3 is an alias of Khotin which features some ‘ambient + modular synth sketches, outtakes and meditations’. Music like this really just feels like my body is melting, I’m not sure how else to describe it, it’s gorgeous. The atmospheric soundscapes it creates make you feel like a floating lantern gradually drifting off into the sky. This was self-released I believe on his Bandcamp.

I think this is the only album he’s released under this alias, but I would love him to release more music similar to this. I love his other stuff however this kind of ambience is just something I’m feeling deeply at the moment. I would very highly recommend this album as well as Dylan’s work under Khotin as well.

Some of my favourite tracks off the album are ‘Bubble’ and ‘Mod 3’.
