Bathhouse

Steven Legget

I first came across Steven Legget from the If You Cannot Try EP that he did with Mark Hand which is incredibly good if you haven’t already listened. That release was more deep house however this is sort of neo-classical ambient, although I feel like that doesn’t really do it justice. It covers such a range of sounds and emotional resonance. I’ve really been enjoying albums within that sort of scope recently because they just seem to induce feelings that I don’t really get from other music or maybe it’s just where my current headspace is.

It’s quite hard to put into words how much I love this album so I think you should check it out if you have some time. It was released on Firecracker Recordings based in Edinburgh who specialise in ‘oddball house, techno and electronics’.
