Does the music catalogue of Luke Vibert ever end? There’s always something new to discover and every now and again you stumble upon some that you haven’t previously heard and you can feel nothing but delight. This is one of those times as I think Big Soup came up on autoplay on YouTube and of course it was Luke Vibert.
The album traverses across timeless sounds from the sort of beats heard on Wagon Christ releases, to videogame-esque drum and bass on tracks like Fused into Music and 2001 Beats, and then into cosmic journeys on Space Race. The album is sort of a masterpiece and I find it hard to describe it as anything but timeless.
If you don’t like this album you really do have a poor music taste.
