Firmament II is a journey through all things ambient, experimental and minimal. It was released in 1994 on Beggars Banquet. Despite it being released in the 90s it feels very current and somewhat timeless, as it traverses across a variety of textures and landscapes. It’s very otherworldly and consists of two approximately 25 minute tracks which allow it to create an expansive dream world.

It could probably be the soundtrack to a silent movie as it creates so much imagery through the sounds. There’s a sense of loneliness to it which makes it expansive, but also rather melancholy. It probably won’t be to everyone’s taste but I’d recommend you check it out regardless.
