A rare, wild species of sheep that thrive in extreme weather conditions. Usually hail storms but also heavy rain, snow or wind. Their wool, known as chast wool, is highly desirable because of its ability to protect the sheep’s body from harmful precipitation.

They have been found to graze in northern Argentina or close to Canada’s ‘Hailstorm Alley’.
