Lady’s Mantle

This is the first time I’ve listened to one of Jake Muir’s albums, as I’ve heard a few mixes here and there but never properly listened to his stuff. However, I wish I had earlier because he’s insanely good. Lady’s Mantle was released on sferic which has some incredible releases that you should check out.

Jake creates beautiful sound images throughout this album which transport you to places you aren’t currently. His field recordings serve for a range of unique sounds and make the record so special as there’s a natural ambience to it which feels so organic. It all combines to make elegant and limitless soundscapes. It allows you to drift off but also stay grounded at the same time. I don’t know how you couldn’t like it, it’s a soul healer.
