N-Plants

Biosphere

I think I discovered Biosphere through a Chris SSG recommendation. His work is something you should definitely check out which covers a lot of ambience as he integrates this with other types of music such as classical in his latest release Angel’s Flight.

The concept behind N-Plants is that each track is named after a Japanese nuclear plant, which is inspired by the Japanese post-war economic miracle. He wanted to make a soundtrack for each of the plants, focusing on ‘architecture, design and localisations’. He was also interested in the potential danger from these plants being prone to earthquakes and landslides.

The tracks are very pleasant to listen to, they have a nice ambience which is relaxing but also a sense of mystery and uncertainty around each one. Lovely concept, lovely album. Some of my favourites are Shinka-1 and Oi-1.
