UNKLE
This is quite the classic album from James Lavelle and DJ Shadow. I didn’t know much about UNKLE but I’m a fan of DJ Shadow so naturally this project is quite intriguing given both their reputation and the notable features across the album. The album has quite a moody, spooky tone to it which feels quite post-apocalyptic. My favourite tracks are the single ‘Rabbit In Your Headlights’ with Thom Yorke and Celestial Annihilation.
I’m also quite interested in the collaboration as a whole. There’s a documentary which I’ve been meaning to watch called The Man From Mo’ Wax which is about James Lavelle and his running of the Mo’ Wax label. So, I’m excited to watch it as I imagine it’ll be quite insightful in regard to the making of this project and more.
