A really interesting and well-written read by Bill Bryson.
The book is very accessible, taking you on a nice journey through the human
body, focusing on how it both functions and fails. It’s full of a lot of facts about
the body and touches on the history of how we got to know our bodies in the way
we do today.
I really enjoyed this book having received it as a gift it’s not something I would usually go for, but I found that I read it quite quickly. I think Bryson’s style helped a lot in that sense. It’s not a dense book yet it covers so much, and I feel as though I learnt a lot, although I’m not sure how much I retained.
I would highly recommend even if you’re not really into biology or your own body. It’s hard not to enjoy.
