This album is the sixth release on sound as language and Utz’s first release on the label. direct deposit covers a range of experimental sounds and textures with an aura of ambience that washes over each of the tracks. There’s a peaceful nostalgia across all of the tracks, however they vary in their underlying elements, with soft-jazz on ‘westfork’ and more experimental sounds on ‘junkpuzzle’.

There’s a lot to enjoy on here, so I’d definitely recommend you have a listen. The full record will be released on May 28th 2021, however you can listen to the first two singles, baby sweet / cave print here.
