More Songs About Food and Revolutionary Art

Carl Craig

This is Carl Craig’s second full length album originally released in 1997. It’s a pretty insane album and from what I’ve heard one of his most cherished releases. I haven’t listened to much Carl Craig to be honest, just bits here and there, but I’d say this is a pretty good place to start if you haven’t.

The sounds are so wide ranging and touch on so many sub-genres. It’s a classic in Detroit techno but it’s so much more. It takes you on such a journey as it transitions across electro, deep house, acid and more. It sort of reminds me of The Collapse of Modern Culture in that the sounds feel so timeless and set such a high bar for the standard of electronic music in general.

So yeah, I really think you should spare some time and have a listen to this album, there’s so much to enjoy so it’s hard to be disappointed.
