Harari writes about the history of civilisation in such a
clear and concise way that is so accessible. I really enjoy these kinds of
books that give a broad scope of human civilisation because they give a good
big picture but also allow you to discover specific topics of interest that you
may want to explore further. It’s quite similar to A Little History of the
World which I would also highly recommend.
I may re-read this at some point given that it’s been a while since I first read it. Homo Deus, the sequel to this book is also quite a good read however I can’t remember it too well, so I haven’t written about it on here. Essentially, you should check out any of Harari’s work because he’s quite the mind having clearly spent a lot of time thinking about great macro-historical questions.
